Aegir CMS beta 1.0 released

The Aegir CMS development team is excited to announce the first public beta release of Aegir CMS, our Open Source Content Management System built on the Midgard application server.

This initial release marks an important milestone in the project, representing months of development and refinement based on the proven Nadmin Studio codebase.

What is Aegir CMS?

Aegir CMS is a full-featured Content Management System designed for the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) platform. It provides organizations with professional content management capabilities through an intuitive interface that requires minimal technical knowledge to use.

System Requirements

Aegir CMS requires:

  • Linux server (recommended: Red Hat, Debian, or similar)
  • Apache web server
  • Midgard 1.4.x or later
  • MySQL database
  • PHP 4.1.0 or later

Download and Installation

Aegir CMS beta 1.0 is available for download from our Download page. The package includes installation instructions and basic documentation to get you started.

Please note that as a beta release, this version is intended for testing and evaluation purposes. We strongly encourage feedback from the community to help us improve the system.

Aegir CMS is licensed under the HKLC Nadmin Studio Interface License, which is derived from the Artistic License. The underlying Midgard platform is licensed under the LGPL. See the Licensing page for complete details.
